Hi, I’m Olivia!

Art is my passion. Whether I am creating art for myself, my shop, or bringing a clients’ vision to life, this is what I love to do.

My love of art started at a very young age. I can remember getting in trouble in Kindergarten for following my own inspiration during the art time, not following directions, but absolutely creating on my own terms. Fast forward to middle and high school when I was fortunate enough to have art teachers that opened the world of art and all it’s possibilities for me. I experimented and tried all sorts of media at that time, falling in love with painting, drawing and mixed media. It was my sophomore year that I discovered my passion for stained glass. I knew that there was no other path aside from Fine Art for me. I graduated from Cedarville University in 2012 with a Studio Art degree, and during my time there, my professors pushed me and helped me grow in my work immensely. I started working at Bonadies Glass Studio in Yellow Springs, OH while a senior, and could not have asked for a better opportunity to learn stained glass production from the best glass artist and the owner of the shop, Valerie.

Shortly after graduation, I was prompted by a professor to enter my work at the Ohio State Fair, and I won Best of Show in the Arts, Crafts and Fashion Division with my stained glass peacock screen, and 2nd Best of Show in the Amateur Art Division with my mixed media self portrait. Soon after, I married the love of my life and landed a job teaching art at my high school. I pursued teaching, both at Legacy and through private art lessons, for 6 years. Most recently, however, I have divided my time between raising my sweet babies and launching Copper Studio Art.
